In 1959, during a time when producing or even importing plastic raw materials in Turkey was a challenge, a bold step led to the creation of the Ege Yıldız and Egeplast brands. Initiated under the leadership of the late businessman Mazhar Zorlu, this journey began with the production of pharmaceutical tubes and kitchenware, later expanding to the manufacturing of plastic pipes, fittings, and related products with the establishment of Ege Yıldız Plastik Pazarlama ve Sanayi A.Ş. In 1973, responding to the growing need for modern technology, Egeplast A.Ş. was established, initiating production in advanced facilities. Egeplast strengthened its leading position by offering a wide range of products used in applications from infrastructure to in-building installations, including clean water distribution, sewage, telecommunications, natural gas, drainage, and more. Going public in 1996, Egeplast became one of Turkey’s largest plastic pipe manufacturers, with an annual capacity of 85,000 tons of plastic processing and state-of-the-art production technologies. Operating in its 80,000 m² facility located in İzmir Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone, the company adheres to quality, environmental, and occupational safety standards. With innovative solutions, an extensive dealer network, high customer satisfaction, strong corporate values, and a development strategy focused on digitalization, Egeplast continues to carry its 64 years of experience into the future.

The story of PEXa Boru began in 1983 with Bayramoğlu İnşaat A.Ş. Following various construction projects across Istanbul, the group established ISIYER in 1986 with the aim of solving installation problems in the housing sector. The company’s mission has always been to create functional projects not just for licensing purposes, but to deliver the right products, superior workmanship, and long-lasting installation systems. After research in Germany, PPRC type 3 pipe production by Huls AG was first attempted in Turkey, and in 1989, a long-term partnership was established by signing an Exclusive Distributor agreement with Wirsbo, the world leader in PEXa piping. During this journey, ISIYER published the “Underfloor Heating Fundamentals” book and, in cooperation with TSE, set the first thermoplastic pipe production standards in Turkey. In 2010, Wirsbo became Uponor, and the PEXa brand was created. That same year, PEXa Boru Sanayi A.Ş. was founded. Today, PEXa offers innovative and reliable pipe solutions for a wide range of applications, from underfloor heating systems to drinking water installations, industrial applications, and environmentally friendly projects.
