OUR STORY Our story began a long time ago, in 1973, with Ercan Baharat Ltd. Şti., a wholesale herb and spice company founded by Recep Ercan at the Eminönü Oil Pier. After the demolition of the oil pier building in 1985, Ercan Baharat moved to the Rami Wholesale Food Site. While continuing its wholesale operations, production operations began in 1992 under the leadership of Ayhan Ercan. Ayhan Ercan, a medicinal and aromatic herbalist, founded Ecem Natural Cosmetics, Personal Care, and Health Products in 1997. He has served as president of the Turkish Herbalists and Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Cultivation Association since 2006. He has also published four books on Healthy Living and Superfoods, and his opinions are frequently sought at various seminars and on television. In 2009, Efe Natural Products Industry and Trade Ltd. was established in partnership with Chemical Engineer Ahu Turhan Ercan. By establishing Ecem Group and incorporating Eren International Foreign Trade Ltd. to further develop herbal and organic import and food production, we consolidated our success under the Ecem Group umbrella. Since that day, Ecem Group has pursued a mission that combines health and natural living. It maintains its leading position in the sector with its subsidiaries and Biostore Wellness Centers. Ecem Natural Cosmetics, a personal care and health product group within its organization, has evolved into a force that values human and environmental health, prioritizing quality and innovation. Ecem Naturel Cosmetics, which embodies these values in every product, produces in accordance with the highest standards in its hygienic and modern facilities with its expert staff. As part of Ecem Group, Efe Natural Products Industry and Trade Ltd. brings the riches of nature to consumers. Conducting retail sales through Biostore Wellness Centers, Efe Natural Products: It brings its world of food, herbal, organic, and local products to every corner of our country. Eren International Foreign Trade Co. Ltd., which joined this strong family in 2009, offers a wide range of services, from the import of our company's organic cosmetics to the import of organic superfoods. A pioneer in the promotion and use of organic superfoods in Turkey, our company was the first importer of products such as chia seeds and pink Himalayan salt, and remains the sole importer of superfoods such as maquiberry and cordyceps mushrooms. Eren International, which produces all food products within the Ecem Group, also distributes many valuable international brands. It also supplies raw materials to Türkiye's leading chain cafes and restaurants, as well as to global brands, and supports these brands' leadership in the sector with its innovative ideas. In 2023, we will be producing natural olive leaves and olive oil, as well as various medicinal and aromatic plants, from olive trees grown on our lands in Muğla to support organic and sustainable agriculture. Who Are We? Since 1986, Burda Bebek has been meeting the needs of mothers and babies through domestic production. Today, it is a leading and reliable company producing products under the Wee Baby brand, a leader in the pacifier and feeding bottle market. In 2017, the company increased its production capacity by establishing the largest mother and baby products factory in the Middle East and Turkey, boasting an annual production capacity of 16 million units across a 15,000 m² indoor area at its production facility in the Hendek 2nd Organized Industrial Zone. Burda Bebek uses FDA and European Union-approved raw materials throughout its production process, and manufactures in accordance with internationally recognized BRC CP and GMP standards. Thanks to its robust production infrastructure and modern machinery, the company demonstrates the quality, reliability, and compliance of its products and services with international standards. It is the first domestic company in its category in Turkey to receive a Product Conformity Certificate from the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE). It also certified its compliance with Turkish Standards with TS 1400 and TS 14350 certifications and holds ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, and ISO 27001 Information Security Management System certifications.
