OUR STORY Our story began a long time ago, in 1973, with Ercan Baharat Ltd. Şti., a wholesale herb and spice company founded by Recep Ercan at the Eminönü Oil Pier. After the demolition of the oil pier building in 1985, Ercan Baharat moved to the Rami Wholesale Food Site. While continuing its wholesale operations, production operations began in 1992 under the leadership of Ayhan Ercan. Ayhan Ercan, a medicinal and aromatic herbalist, founded Ecem Natural Cosmetics, Personal Care, and Health Products in 1997. He has served as president of the Turkish Herbalists and Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Cultivation Association since 2006. He has also published four books on Healthy Living and Superfoods, and his opinions are frequently sought at various seminars and on television. In 2009, Efe Natural Products Industry and Trade Ltd. was established in partnership with Chemical Engineer Ahu Turhan Ercan. By establishing Ecem Group and incorporating Eren International Foreign Trade Ltd. to further develop herbal and organic import and food production, we consolidated our success under the Ecem Group umbrella. Since that day, Ecem Group has pursued a mission that combines health and natural living. It maintains its leading position in the sector with its subsidiaries and Biostore Wellness Centers. In 2023, we will be producing natural olive leaves and olive oil, as well as various medicinal and aromatic plants, from olive trees grown on our lands in Muğla to support organic and sustainable agriculture.
